Instructions for Online LoadCalc:
After location is chosen:
Select the types of walls, windows, ceiling, floors, doors etc. for the structure.
There is an option to choose type 1 & type 2  of walls, ceiling, floor, windows & glass doors if you have different types of walls, windows etc. in the structure. In most cases only type 1 need to be chosen but the option is there in case it is needed. If you have some glass that may not be shaded by the overhang like the down stairs windows on a two story building it is a good idea to use type 2 for those because you will have the option to use shading for type 1 & not for type 2 windows & glass doors.
Basement Walls & Floors are only used if you have a heated basement
Floors above an unheated basement are equivalent to floors above a closed crawl space.

Next is the shading factors:

window height :  Enter the window height. Since we are not inputting the actual width & height of every window the average window height should be used.

overhang:
Enter the distance the roof overhang extends from the wall.

window top to overhang:  Enter the distance from the top of the windows to the overhang.

Next is the design conditions section:

The default values for the temperature & humidity levels are already inserted & are recommended. You will have the option to change temperatures to your liking on the final calculation.
Changing the design indoor humidity level will automatically set the design grains to the proper value.

After the selections are made then click where you will then enter in the sq. ft. associated with the structure choices.
There will then be an button in the menu near the middle of the page for further instructions.
